Why does this extension breaks other extensions?

As an example: Using only the extension BroadcomMFD.cobol-language-support I get full COBOL syntax highlighting. Enabling this extension leads to no syntax at all.

I guess that's because of "provides.languages.id": "COBOL", then this may be seen as a duplicate of #14.
Maybe @gustavosimon could have a look at this and the other open issues to keep the project alive?
