I don't actually know if it is Eval that causes this (opening chat after having entered an expression), but it is quite disruptive when you want to type other things.
To be clear here's what happens: opening chat and typeing "=99", pressing enter will close the chat and show the result. Opening the chat back again using the "open chat" hotkey (t) will open chat with "=99" already written instead of nothing.
If this is in fact a feature of Eval, I would love if there was a config to disable that as I see this as redundant considering you can press the up arrow to go back to the message you just typed (the expression).
