List of breaking changes for v0.7 release

Now that v0.6.0 is out, we can collect and discuss potential breaking changes for a (not currently scheduled) v0.7 release:

• Bump edition to 2024 #772
• rand_core v0.9 support #759 Bump rand_core to v0.10 #1165
• Bump der dependency to v0.8 #1206
• Adopt core naming conventions for bigint methods #693

rand_core v0.9 is now released.

That actually concerns me too. Feels like we should do a quick bump to 0.7 with rand_core=0.9 before v0.6 is widely adopted.

Yeah, alas, not great timing. I can yank the v0.6.0 release and retroactively upgrade it.

I think it is good to have 0.6 out with rand 0.8, at least for rsa I want to make a release with rand 0.8 and the bug fix soon.

Another thing I could do which is a little annoying is start a new development branch and upgrade there, and cut a v0.7.0 prerelease

If that's the plan, I'm going to make a crypto-primes release as well.
