converting code to npm package

I would like to work on the task to convert the code to the library to convert this to an npm package.

I will go through the code and will start working on it, let me know if you already have some branch for the same in progress.

However, I need to do some code cleanup, perhaps it's a smarter idea to wait until I have done most of that?
