Decisions such as this could be damaging to the game and playerbase, especially for those that rely on such information to get the best out of their class, i.e. PvP, Arena etc. So basically, Deadly Boss Mods will perish, Weakauras etc. I honestly think they may backtrack on this, or at least I hope they see common sense.. common sense and blizzard dont usually go together well though. |

i agree. a lot of SmartBuff's functionality is already limited or non-functional in combat, but if they remove the ability to check for buffs wholesale (including out of combat), we're toast. :/ Blizzard have built one of the best and most robust addon APIs for any game i can think of, and now they want to limit people's use of it. meanwhile, they introduce a one-click rotation button (which, i might add, has functionality that is not available to addons because of the combat lockout mechanic)... what on earth is going on? |

One button macro is well. Its something. It will drastically change how I play as i certainly rely on Hekili helper to play all 13 classes vs memorizing all the abilities and rotations. I do hate the combat addon removal (blizzard absolutely screws the pooch on every first 5 iterations of something)... So its going to be an utter shit show. Especially doing this in the MIDDLE of the expansion. FFS, just roll it into next expack. There is a bit of a reasoning to it where certain things like DBM and to some extent combat weakauras are required for raiding as Blizzard been tuning their bosses in mind for those addons for years. They even came out and said it openly. Unfortunately they cannot just simply 'disable' one addon and not others in combat. |
