memory, session notes, project status, etc not linked

I just ran the quickstart, followed the info from the github page and its like something isnt connected. Started a few sessions, did a quick check for a project, pulled transcript from youtube, and wanting a document created in md.
Each time trying to have the previous session pulled, asked if we had x thing to pick up and continue with, etc.

I dont recall anything failing, but I dont know how else to explain this other than its just not setup correctly.

Im using linux mint.

Not sure what else I can provide for you to reproduce this.
