Since many telescopes are still block scheduled some or all of the time, it is helpful for observers to have a calendar tool in their TOM where they can add and delete blocks describing key events, such as the dates of allocated time on different telescopes, as well as other dates relevant to their projects, such as the dates of a LIGO/Virgo/Kagra run, or proposing deadlines.
Calendar events that are associated with specific telescopes should have the option to have an associated target list (for the run as a whole) and target sequence for each day - i.e. a list of the targets to be observed in what order. Entries on the latter list should give the option to describe the instrument configuration required together with what calibrations are necessary.
