local directory relative links not working

I am attempting to use frogmouth the way one would use gollum in the web browser. I have relative paths for some markdown pages to give a sort of wikipedia effect, but I notice that frogmouth does not understand ../dir/wikipage.md. Is there a deliberate reason why such relative links do not work yet, or can this feature be added with minimal contradictions in the process?

If I wish to accomplish such a Wikipedia like linkage with a local directory wiki, is there a manner already built into frogmouth to handle this?

I'm not a developer, but can I ask what OS you're using frogmouth on? Seems to work perfectly well on Linux.
