Develop and Implement Issue Templates and Structures #7

@prdai

Description

@prdai

To streamline our project management process, we need to create standardized issue templates and define a clear structure for ticket creation. This initiative will ensure consistency in reporting, facilitate easier tracking of tasks, and improve overall team communication.

Objectives:

  • Develop reusable templates for different types of issues (bugs, enhancements, tasks, etc.).
  • Define clear guidelines and structures for each template to maintain uniformity across projects.
  • Integrate the new templates with our existing JIRA setup to facilitate smooth adoption.

Scope of Work:

  • Template Design:
    • Identify the most common issue types and gather input from team members.
    • Create draft templates for each issue type, outlining required fields and best practices.
  • Guidelines & Documentation:
    • Develop a comprehensive guide on how to use the templates effectively.
    • Include examples and scenarios to help team members understand the new structure.
  • Integration & Testing:
    • Configure JIRA to incorporate the new templates.
    • Pilot the templates with a small group, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Rollout & Training:
    • Roll out the finalized templates across all projects.
    • Conduct training sessions to ensure all team members are comfortable with the new system.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Fully developed and approved issue templates integrated within JIRA.
  • Clear documentation and guidelines available for all users.
  • Positive feedback from initial pilot testing and successful adoption across teams.

This ticket is intended to standardize our issue reporting process, reduce ambiguities, and improve overall efficiency in our project management workflows.
