Application cannot parse matrix width/height definition

Trying to connect my Arduino Mega to the application but getting error message.

1. In the Arduino examples folder, I've modified the Width (12) Height (12) and Data Pin (6)
2. Uploaded code to Arduino board
3. In LMCSHD app, clicked on Serial
4. In pop-up clicked selected correct port (7), left all other defaults, clicked Connect
5. Error message appears

I've been having the same problem, I'm trying to use my 8x32 ws2812b matrix with a flame gif I've rescaled to 8px x 32px. I've got around the width/height definition error by adjusting the baud rate but I get stuck with pixel orientation after that.

Here's where I've got to so far;

1. Modify example INO sketch with my width (32) and height (8) and data pin (9).

2. Check correct COM port is selected.

3. Verify and Upload code in Arduino IDE to Arduino UNO with 8 x 32 ws2812b matrix connected and powered separately with a 5v 20A supply. Upload succeeds.

4. Open LMCSHD application (extracted from zip file LMCSHD_A_0.2.1) and selected serial>connect>adjust for correct COM port with the rest at default. Click connect, error message "Application cannot parse matrix width/height definition" is displayed. Cannot connect to COM port 4.

5. Open serial monitor on Arduino IDE and set baud rate to 115200, I then repeat step 4 but change the baud rate in LMCSHD app to match that in the serial monitor of Arduino, it successfully connects!

6. Go to Imaging and upload gif already resized to 8x32, lock dimensions, hit play.

7. The result of step 6 is the matrix loads a static scramble of mostly blue and green LEDs lit at a low level.

Unfortunately pixel order settings don't seem to do anything at the moment.

Absolutely love this project and would really like to see further updates.

These issues are actually fixed in code, but I just never got around to compiling the project again for a new release. If you want to, download the source code and open with visual studio (community version will work fine). You can then compile a new .exe which allows for changing the dimensions and orientation. Also, take a look at your Arduino code, as you might be missing some bytes that causes the colors to be off. There's lots of parameters and things to get right for it to work correctly.

Thanks for the quick response, will look into your suggestions now and see where I get. I was getting correct colours through draw function on LMC1.1.9 but will review my code for LMCSHD and see if there's anything I've missed or done differently. Cheers!

the program is just great! everything works and export code from gif animation too! the only problem is that I can’t already use the export code in the sketch, I just don’t know how to do it .(help! how and where to insert the exported animation gif code in the sketch? LMCS HD programs Please give me an answer or give a link where to download a ready-made sketch with a code for displaying on an RGB LED FAST LED MATRIX OR AT LEAST A SCREEN OF HOW IT SHOULD LOOK!
