pyA20 library fault on Orange Pi Zero

This is possibly more to do with the underlying library but in the pyA20 library when using 'pyA20.gpio.gpio.setcfg()' in any circumstance with python 3.6.7 freezes the Python program without access to KeyboardInterrupts.
The only possible course of action is to close the SSH session and restart the Pi.
I have also sent a message to the author of the pyA20 Python package but I thought I would report the error here too. N.B: This is an Orange Pi Zero

Which GPIO pins were you using? I'm getting this as well, but only on pin PA20. I can't help but notice the similarity between PA20 and pyA20 (appears to be named after the Allwinner A20 SoC, not the pin).

Also when polling at 1Hz, I'm getting a lot of ERR_MISSING_DATA and ERR_CRCs mixed in with real data. Not sure if I have something wrong on the hardware side or if it's the library.
