Training Team meetings start at 07:00 UTC weekly on Tuesdays. Anyone is welcome to contribute to the meeting by commenting in Slack threads during the meeting and throughout the following days. Meeting notes will be published by the following Tuesday to also incorporate these asynchronous conversations.
This week’s meeting will be hosted by @sumitsinghwp.
We’re currently updating the Training Team handbooks and would appreciate your input. To help prioritize translation efforts, which content do you think should be considered high priority for translation? Feedback - Suggest High Priority Content #3400
We need your help in finding all the content that could be updated and consolidated. We would love to have two groups of volunteers - one that will go through all the handbook content, and one that will check the courses. Please state your interest, and we will help you organize and start working on these important issues.
Recently, the Polish translation of the course "Beginner WordPress User" was finished - big thanks to @meloniq and all the other users from Poland. They managed to finish translating the course, excerpts, and subtitles (both for WordCamp.tv and YouTube). We need volunteers to help us create thumbnails for all the lessons that are part of this translated course. If you want to contribute and help us, just reply to this thread - we will help you with everything you need to successfully finish this task (and earn a Training Contributor badge if you don't have one yet).
Also, we started working on creating thumbnails for all lessons that need them. You’re very welcome to join us and contribute to this important and creative project. Here’s the issue with details on how to work on the remaining thumbnails: Create Thumbnails for Learn WordPress Lessons #3428
We currently have around 456 open issues. It would be great to get support in reviewing and reducing them.
You can help by:
Going through issues one by one
Identifying outdated or irrelevant issues
Suggesting fixes or next steps
Adding comments where needed (before closing or updating)
Let’s work together to clean up and keep the repository well-organized
