Running v2.1.216-macos-arm64, can't get thinking to display

I have had this working with previous versions, but I can't get it to work now. Using Opus 4.8 xHigh.

My currently running process is correct:

2.1.216 (Claude Code) (patched)

I have the flag set:

"showThinkingSummaries": true

It is hiding the tips though so that is another confirmation the binary is correct.

Any thought? Might I have a conflicting config setting somewhere?
