Some XMP properties in the stFnt namespace mention a non-existent String type (issue present in the specification PDF document only) #22

Description

@ceztko

Since XMP specification of 2005, and still present in the XMP Specification part 2 2002 pdf document, the following XMP properties mention a String type which I couldn't find described in any XMP specification, including ISO 16684-1:2019. They are:

  • stFnt:versionString: String
  • stFnt:fontFileName: String
  • stFnt:childFontFiles: ordered array of String

The immediate guess is that it was just a typo and they are really referring to Text instead. Also stFnt:fontType should better refer to "Open choice of Text" instead of only "open choice".

The PDF TWG discussed this issue and found out the Markdown version of the specification has been fixed already. The request here is either to fix the PDF document or better specify it's status, if no more updates are planned for it (eg. move it to a "Legacy" folder).
