TinyMCE customization

Joomla's TinyMCE editor plugin has a tonne of customization available, from toolbar to custom plugin loading.

This is very appealing, but it also adds complexity. I am ambivalent on whether to pursue that – and definitely not for the first 0.x versions. I am putting this issue in to remember to look into it at a later time.

I'm very familiar with all the customisation possibilities and I woul ttr6 to avoid most of it

Same here. It is especially problematic if someone messes with their toolbar to the point it becomes unusable. I am mostly contemplating whether enabling custom plugins would make sense. I see pros and cons, but it's mostly on the latter camp.
