LLMs

The class on LLMs worked relatively well excepting that the three case studies were rushed and the subsequent time for discussion wasn't as structured as planned. For next time,

• spend more time looking at and discussing prompts and prompt templates
• focus on just the pdf_classification case study
• have them read the same papers (and try again to assign them to represent a one of the three positions of the PNAS paper)

• Elaborate on API key and storage in context of pdf_classification case study.

Consider having students install and setup a local LLM. (Many would likely be motivated by perceived energy savings.)
