posting doesn't work in Chrome if user allows location access

steps to reproduce:

1. create account
2. click new message button
3. type pithy message
4. click send
5. allow access to location

expected: UI returns to main page, shows message
actual: nothing happens

on Mac OSX Lion
works okay in Safari
