 I've setup the preset in a way that I can alter the level and pan using MIDI messages. This allows me to place the sound exactly where I want for maximum disturbance in the force. This plays nice when I'm designing loops, as I can easily construct the layers without delving into multiple knobs. I have a fully setup 6-track template for my loops, but it's always nice to prove you're wrong, and having a super flexible way of challenging my own choices is definitely a good start.
