URL not found error

Hello,

When attempting to pull the NIST data I ran into an error, so I navigated to the URL of the dataset listed and got a "Page not found" message. The URL I am using is from this repo's README file:

https://materialsdata.nist.gov/dspace/xmlui/bitstream/handle/11256/940

Any idea if the dataset perhaps got moved elsewhere? Appreciate any and all advice.

this is the URL from the shell snippet under https://github.com/bdecost/uhcsdb#check-out-the-data, I think?

sorry, it looks like NIST changed the actual storage location, and that shell snippet is broken. The handle link still resolves for me though: https://hdl.handle.net/11256/940

this now resolves to https://materialsdata.nist.gov/handle/11256/940; I just updated the README to look this up via the dataset handle instead of hardcoding the actual URI

@bdecost Thanks so much for your reply - I now have the dataset! However, still running into trouble extracting the .zip files (tools.zip, uhcsdb.zip). When I run unzip tools.zip in the Terminal, it throws an error:

"End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive."

I tried the GUI version of extracting and get a message that the files are in an "unsupported format".

I'm working on MacOS Big Sur version 11.6...any chance you have run into this kind of thing before?

No worries if not, but I'm keen to try running your app - so very much appreciate any suggestions to get around this...thanks!!

it's possible there's another issue with the shell snippet that downloads the zip archives? I can try to look into it deeper later

I manually downloaded the tools archive and it unpacked just fine, which is why I suspect the download script instead of the archival data. I'm using Chrome on MacOS Catalina though. I haven't checked the other zip archives

If this isn't looking tractable to debug I can mirror the dataset to figshare or something

Huh yes I used the download.sh script to get these files originally, I can try downloading manually as well to see if that gives a difference. Thanks for checking it out and will stay tuned!
