Description

Feature request:

Add an option to display the current date and time—including the time zone—in the OBS session automation overlays. This helps viewers know the stream is really live and not a past recording.

Details:

  • The format and style of the date & time source is to be decided. Options may include a browser-based beautiful clock or a simple text source.
  • Users should be able to toggle the date & time display on or off through the Dock or Script UI.
  • Make sure the feature supports custom time zones or correctly displays the local system time zone.

Goals:

  • Give viewers visual assurance that the session is live.
  • Keep the implementation seamless and easy to use, in alignment with sbobs's zero-dependency, simple one-click philosophy.

Acceptance criteria:

  • A date & time source can be added to the overlay.
  • User can show/hide this source via toggle in the Dock or Script.
  • The display clearly includes time zone information (automatic or user-configured).
  • Matches overlay style and does not interfere with existing scene elements.
