Failure to display on iOS 26.1

Before submitting a new issue

• I tested using the latest version of the library, as the bug might be already fixed.
• I tested using a supported version of react native.
• I checked for possible duplicate issues, with possible answers.

Bug summary

Updated to iOS 21.1 RC (23B82) and found that the glass effect no longer displayed.
Tried both of the new glass modes clear and tinted.
Compiled with Xcode Version 26.0 (17A324).

I know I am using the RC and iOS 26.1 officially comes out later this week so this may not be an issue when it does, just thought I would post a heads-up, feel free to close.

I'm using Xcode 26.1 and it is not working properly. I also don't understand why I've debugged it a lot on native side.

Updated to latest xcode and still having the issue, will try to get a repo going to demo

I have the same issue, but is seems like when i for example, navigate to a different screen and back, the liquid glass effect kicks back in. The initial state for me is a transparent view.

yes, same. I thought maybe some caching view, added key prop, didn't work.

Hey, @xerdink @zamplyy providing me a repository where you can easily reproduce this will help to resolve this issue A LOT faster. I'll try to prioritize it today but I can't reproduce this locally.

I finally found out why it would struggle to render correctly for me.
I do not know if it's the same issue that @xerdink or @e-simpson has though.

I created a repro repo, the issue seems to stem from styling the view with opacity:0 from the start, then even if i set the opacity to 1 later the LiquidGlass effect doesn't show.

It only seems to happen if the initial opacity is 0, if i change it to have opacity:1 from the start and then later choose to set opacity:0, it seems to work correctly.

@zamplyy great find! Yes that is exactly when the issue occurs for me! Using 0.05 as the initial works just fine.
