Halo, I've been trying some odd patches on SF 18 - https://lichess.org/@/h8d13/all
Anyways I arrived at the conclusion that I'm going crazy. But hear me out:
Is it possible to somehow train NNUE to score draws asymmetrically ?
- Black forces draw early (rewarded more)
- Black forces draw later (rewarded still but less)
- White draws (slight punishment)
My thought was something like {0 , x, 1} where x depends on the color played and the amount of moves in the game.
arXiv:2604.03683 is where this obsession began. And remotely every single tool use symmetric scoring where color signal is lost. I also tried to ask the quesiton in SF repo official-stockfish/Stockfish#6736 but didn't get much reaction
Hope somebody who understands better than I do can answer :)
