Investigate and fix keyboard crash in app resulting from searching and using side menu

Reproduction steps:

1. Go to people and start typing in the searcher so the keyboard opens up
2. Open your profile menu’
3. Select “Your Groups”
4. Select the searchbar there so the keyboard pops up again
5. Press back so you go back to the home menu; keyboard should stay open
6. Press on your profile icon to open the side menu again
7. Press on your profile icon to go back to the HomeScreen; app crashes
