Password prompt sometimes appears even when password is not prompted

I don't know specifically how to reproduce it, it only happens sometimes, but the consequences are a lot worse when the prompt doesn't happen inline in the terminal. I'll post more updates if I find a repro.

I'm also seeing this. If it helps to diagnose the problem, I only get a password prompt in the minibuffer with ghostel-project but not with ghostel.

Fixed on main.

I now only use regex matching on remote PTYs and also use comint-password-prompt-regexp which term.el and eshell use and is a lot stricter than the simple "password:" regex we had.

Not sure if I should open a new issue for this, but when using Emacs in toolbox on Fedora I get a password prompt whenever I open ghostel (v0.24.0).

I'm still getting false password prompts too.

To detect the password inputs we use the same heuristics than ghostty.
But 2 things where different:

• ghostty password entry only starts after a 200ms delay, so a program that temporarily would trigger it doesn't
• ghostty just changes the cursor style, so if that happens for a few ms, nobody really notices while popping up a minibuffer is permanent.

With #261 (already merged) I also added a 200ms delay, and I auto-close the minibuffer when the prompt disappears.
Hopefully with that in place you get the false positives less often and if you do they self-correct i.e. closes the read-passwd prompt automatically.

PS: Setting ghostel-detect-password-prompts to nil should be more a workaround for now, because if it's nil
you'll have your password in clear text in view-lossage. (that's a reason to not enter your password in eat or vterm which don't have that feature)
