DAMASK MSC_modifications.py problem

Dear All,

I'm having trouble with the final step of the Damask Marc Mentat installation. I have Marc Mentat 2025.2 but after I run the given code on the DAMASK website:
"export PYTHONPATH=${PWD}/damask-3.0.2/python:${PYTHONPATH}
./damask-3.0.2/install/MarcMentat/MSC_modifications.py" it is looking for a path of the 2024.1 version.

What i should do to use it for my version?
Is it even possible to use it for 2025.2?
I have a custome installation folder.

Please run the MSC_modifications.py command with --help as argument to see what options you can (and in your case have to) specify. Very likely, the defaults for --marc-root and --marc-version are off.

I am not aware that the MSC_modifications.py script checks whether any changes have already been applied (we pass --forward to the patch command to silence comments about repeated patching). Can you provide the full screen output of running the modification script? Are you in a position to analyze what the code is supposed to be doing and can confirm that each part succeeded?

Dear Eisenlohr,

I just got the time to revisit the issue. As visible in the first picture the patcher has finished and gave back the following message. However, if I open mentat i cannot see any modifications being done.

Could you please uninstall the patches using 'uninstall' (without the '') as the command at the end of the call to the python script.
Then reaply the patches and send the output.

I did what you asked for and seems like my license file is unavailable. However it is strange that Marc mentat will find the license and start with no problem.

Dear Franz,

I found that it was a licensing issue on our part and could solve the problem easily. Now Marc mentat has the DAMASK menu option.
