Hey @chadif, thanks for raising this, and sorry it sat for a while. We're changing how LifeOS ships. Instead of cloning a full That's aimed right at what you hit here. The old "one directory, one layout, hope it matches your setup" approach is exactly what broke for so many people, and the new model should handle it far better because your AI does the integration per machine instead of us guessing. So we're closing this in prep for that release. If it still bites you once the skill-based version is out, reopen or file a fresh one and we'll jump on it. Appreciate you taking the time. |

Hello
I have adopted PAI at version 2.5 or later (I can't recall exactly). I have then made some modifications and updates mainly some adjustments in the core skill/routing structure, custom memory curator as well as some very specialized CLIs, commands and MCPS.
I'd like to explore using 5.0. I have attempted a side-by-side install which has turned into a big problem because my existing PAI have assumed a lot of the DNA from the 5.0 based on the the global ./claude directory updates. Luckily I have backed up my ./claude and have reversed all changes and now I'm back to my previous baseline.
I'd like to know if anybody did a similar update or migration and if so how difficult would it be to re-adopt the CLIs, commands and MCPS that were created in the 2.x version into 5.0? I'm most concerned about the CORE skill and routing structure that might have been baked into the existing modifications which could conflict with the new structure.
I'm running WSL2 Ubuntu on Windows if that makes any difference.
Thanks
