There's not a ton that's new on the front end, but there's a lot that's new on the backend, so building a front end shouldn't take much.

I'd say we need a view of a pointer that shows an "add another" button; a way to add to a list without having to edit the entire list.

I actually built something this week for Research Groups on WikiRate where signed-in users can just click "Join" to add themselves to the member list. It's more similar than it might seem.

Yes that is it. Nearly identical functionality.

Good idea for a feature. We aren't talking and entry widget, but just a button. The different cases are where the new card comes from. Join case, the logged in user's card. It would be suppressed in general for users who cannot edit the pointer card (not logged in included). Not sure if the existing Pointer related settings could do most of the work here, or we might want a new one for it.
