I wanted to create two pointer type cards (two levels) pointing to final card and got an
error:

NAME: may not contain any of the following characters: /

Even when the name does not contain such character.

So Skinning is a Pointer and Pidgin is a pointer?

I wonder if something is going funny with your url handling. This could plausibly explain the password problem, too.

Is this in development mode? Can you see the params in the log?

I think that too. That is rather basic functionality which should be not only tested but also got plenty of field testing.

What I'm trying to do: Howto(pointer) -> Skinning(pointer) -> Pidgin(basic) - this should be a card that holds the data.

During the debugging I found out what was the reason:

On the Howto pointer card where added tags <p></p> to the skinning pointer card. When I tried to use it further those tags were in the way. I could only see then when I tried to edit the Howto pointer card. These tags were added by Decko. I did not add them. Maybe some additional check for any HTML tags that should not be there is in order, perhaps, improve the error message.

Is this in development mode? Can you see the params in the log?

This is a production mode. I did not see anything valuble in the log.

Nice sleuthing.

I agree with your suggestion for better error handling. We should also:

1. identify which cardtypes accept html tags
2. strip tags whenever changing to a type that doesn't.

FYI, 0.4.0 doesn't fix the pointer issues, really, but slashes are allowed, and html in names is escaped. So I think this would have been much less confusing.
