Automatic file renaming/strict checking of file requirements

Often there is a requirement for files to be named exactly to a certain standard, eg --.ext. This is useful for bulk correcting files from many students in one subject.

At present students risk being subtracted points for delivering files with the wrong extension, name or similar. It would be useful with a system that either allowed for bulk renaming of files or checking that files match a standard set by the course manager.

Hi @rakfisk1. Thanks for your suggestion. This has been suggested before (ie. #986), but in our discussions we have landed on not adding it since would add quite a bit of complexity (and therefore would be time-consuming to both implement and maintain) while its «training wheel» effect probably would be limited.

Do not hold your breath, but I will look into this again to see if this has become easier to maintain now since this is a feature request we keep on getting from our staff.
