[GOWS] - status@broadcast batch timeouts since ~May 14 (still present in 2026.4.3) #2080

Description

@Elimeshi1

Since approximately May 14, 2026, sending image/video statuses via GOWS fails with gRPC batch timeout errors. The issue persists after upgrading from 2026.2.2 to 2026.4.3.

Error

HTTP 500 from POST /api/{session}/status/image and status/video:

{
  "message": "2 UNKNOWN: batch 1: timed out waiting for message send
response\nbatch 2: timed out waiting for message send response\nbatch 4: timed
 out waiting for message send response\nbatch 7: timed out waiting for message
 send response"
}

WAHA container logs:

  [Session/439507674/Client] Failed to send message (3EB0C615FB374F03CAABA4) to
  (batch 1/7): timed out waiting for message send response
  [Session/439507674/Client] Failed to send message (3EB0C615FB374F03CAABA4) to
  (batch 2/7): timed out waiting for message send response
  [Session/439507674/Client] Failed to send status message
  (3EB0C615FB374F03CAABA4): batch 1: timed out waiting for message send response

Additional warnings observed:

  [Session/*/Client] Server returned different participant list hash when
  sending to status@broadcast. Some devices may not have received the message.
  [Session/*/Client] Failed to fetch prekeys for [contact]: info query returned
  status 406: not-acceptable
  [Session/*/Client] Got untrusted identity error while trying to process prekey
   bundle for [lid]

Steps to Reproduce

Send any image or video status via POST /api/{session}/status/image with
a session that has a large contact list (many recipients in status@broadcast).
Error is intermittent — some sends succeed, others fail on specific batches.
