I’m not sure if this issue was mentioned before, but I couldn’t find a clear report matching this behavior.
Environment
- OS: Debian
- Kernel: Linux 6.12.90+deb13.1-amd64
- Laptop Model: Stealth 16Studio A13VG
- MControlCenter Version: 0.5.1
Issue
** Note other MControlCenter features appear to work correctly, including cooler boot and the application is installed and running normally.
Fan control is not working on my system. Changing fan settings in MControlCenter does not affect the actual fan speed.
Expected Behavior
When I set a manual fan speed or custom fan curve, the fans should respond and adjust accordingly.
Actual Behavior
- Fan control settings can be changed in the UI.
- No errors are shown.
- Fan speed does not change after applying settings.
- The system appears to remain on automatic fan control.
Steps To Reproduce
- Open MControlCenter.
- Navigate to the Fan Control section.
- Set a manual fan speed or custom fan curve.
- Apply the changes.
- Observe that the fan speed remains unchanged.
Additional Information
I have also tried it on KDE the issue still remains
I can provide logs or any additional diagnostic information if needed.
