I'm wondering how you feel about supporting Google's Open Knowledge Format or even making it the default

By "making it the default", I mean incentivizing users to use it and showing a warning regarding missing type fields (the only required one) and suggesting the addition of index.md files for progressive discovery on large folders.

That's a really interesting idea. Let me read more into it and see how it could fit into docmd.

There seems to be some nice overlap with the project's focus on AI-friendly documentation, and thanks for linking the references as well. We can use this space to track any progress on the subject.

🎉 Open Knowledge Format (OKF) arrives in docmd 0.8.8.

Starting with docmd 0.8.8, every documentation site automatically generates Open Knowledge Format (OKF) files unless explicitly disabled through config.plugins.okf.

This release also introduces an early implementation of a Knowledge Graph. It's intentionally minimal for now and can be enabled by setting okf.graph to true.

Generated files are available under site/okf/. Explore the generated output from docs.docmd.io:

• concepts/<slug>.md

If okf.i18n is set to true, OKF files are generated for every configured language. By default, only the project's primary language generates OKF output, which is also the recommended configuration for most projects.
