Describe the bug

I subscribe to your announcement repo so that I get to know about breaking and other significant changes. I get an email when something happens; that doesn't happen very often.

Today I got 8 emails all related to some task Copilot was performing. Since you explicitly state that we should not post issues in the announcement repo, here we go.

Expected Behavior

I only want announcements that are relevant. I do not want autogenerated AI messages that are the result of internal housekeeping.

You can subscribe to just issues and then I think you wouldn't see them, assuming they were all PRs

Sorry about the spam notifications, folks! We're working on some automation for documenting breaking changes. Like @mungojam already mentioned, you should be able to customize your notification settings on the aspnet/announcements repo to only receive notifications for issues:

The repo readme currently suggests watching the entire repo maybe it should be updated to just suggest issues to keep it focused?
