In the Music 5000 section of the readme it says "See the cmdline.txt section for various configuration options" - but it would be better if the config options were per-emulated-device.
Domesday is incorrect in a number of places and is written as "Doomsday" by mistake.
The BeebSCSI part would benefit by a little diagram showing the expected directory structure (Should BeebSCSI0 directory be in root or the dat and dsc files - what should it look like if you are using jukeboxing).
Overall I would suggest making the readme say (see the wiki) and using the wiki instead (since you can split all the notes up into different pages and make it clear what is dev, set up, how to, etc.). This would also allow the addition of a hardware section with some pictures and notes of how the firmware is "connected" to the BBC or Master.
