The calendar system should be lightweight. There is currently a system for adding events via a simple YAML files here (see readme.md): https://github.com/drylabyrinth/drylabyrinth.github.io/tree/master/_events
Two ideas for extending this are
- have a server-side script updating this folder in the repo via entries in a Google Sheet or
- have a javascript piece that pulls from the Google Sheet.
Ideally, we want to automate everything as much as possible, which would require this from each department who wants to participate:
[ ] Need trumbo or other event feed from each department
