[BUG] - Behavior on small screens mobile could be improved

Describe the bug

The navigation controls at the top and bottom do not handle small screens appropriately. They begin taking up multiple lines and get cut off.

To Reproduce

Load the browser site on a mobile device, use the Responsive Design Mode of the browser dev tools, or resize the desktop window.

Expected behavior

The control should be redesigned to be more responsive.
