`spawn powershell.exe ENOENT` in Windows

#31 has appeared again! My machine is Windows, not MacOS, not WSL. VSCode version is VSCode-win32-x64-1.110.0.zip, extension version is 2.13.3.

To be more specific, When I enter ctrl+v with an image in my clipboard, #image("assets/2025-01-25-05-31-24.png") is corectly inserted and the assets folder is created as well. But the image is gone, and there will be an error: spawn powershell.exe ENOENT.

I confirm that this extension worked fine in my machine and configuration before February 2026, and I do not change any configuations except upgrading VSCode version.

I found this is because this project hard-codes powershell in Windows execution branches. But from version 7 on, Windows typically uses pwsh instead of powershell command. If the extension didn't find powershell in PATH, then it crashed and report the error. In the contrast, try pwsh or fallback to pwsh may fix this error.

But I do have powershell command in my PATH, in the format of %SystemRoot%/System32/WindowsPowerShell/v1.0. So, the bug happens when VSCode integrated terminal (or the shell inside the execution chain) does not expand %SystemRoot% to be C:\Windows, which is actually a default behaviour for PATH process.

For better practice, maybe trying both powershell and pwsh command is better.
