I found this project uses a GPL license. This is a fine decision for lots of projects.
However, I personally prefer licenses that are non-viral and thus easier to use in closed source projects.
I you don't mind, I want to ask you to change this project to MIT license or similar (e.g. Apache License 2.0, BSD, ISC license, etc.).
Otherwise, I personally am hesitant to contribute.
Note that MIT licensed stuff can be used in GPL licensed projects, but not the other way around. So MIT license would be less restrictive.
