Bug: WE ARE EXPERIENCING SLOWNESS AND WE DON'T LIKE THE SETTINGS PAGE

Hello, thank you for developing Files App. It's a great application, but with the latest changes, I've noticed that Files has become quite unstable and also slow, much worse than the native Windows Explorer. Furthermore, I didn't particularly like the settings page, as it would have been better if it had remained a modal, even if it were larger. If I'm in a folder where I have my documents and I want to open settings, it takes me out of the current directory, and I have to go back to return to my files. It wasn't like that before. Even if it opened a separate tab for settings, it would be much better. Or less, but it should open where it's located and hide the files you have visible. I think that's where they failed.

• What is slower to you?
• The settings page act like any other items on the sidebar, you can middle click it to open in a new tab or use the back button which would do the same as closing the dialog.

Sorry, I didn't know; this is my first time commenting, but I understand now that there's only one. I didn't know there was the option to open it in a new tab, so that's better. Now, the slowness is noticeable when using the panels with two tabs in the same window.

Thank you for your feedback, you can hold down the ctrl key while clicking the Settings button to open it in a new tab.

The previous design where settings was in a dialog was very limiting for us since it prevented us from opening dialogs inside of settings (you can only have one dialog open at a time).
