I have tried to connect denon x1850 and sc6000 and nothing happened. it does not connect connection. tried to connect thru the mixer switch and one other switch that i have.. didnt do nothing. for me it seems like it doesnt comunicate with the app at all.. i choose the ethernet adapter in the app clicked te Stageq link on the left. did i missed something? thanks for the help

Hi, thanks for reporting this.

StageLinQ support in STC is experimental — it was implemented based on open-source protocol references and has not been tested against all Denon hardware. That said, another user has confirmed it working with a Prime 4, so the core protocol does work.

A few things to check:

1. Make sure you select the correct network interface in STC (the one connected to the same network as your Denon gear), then click STAGELINQ on the left panel. The status should change from "WAITING" to showing the connected device.

2. The SC6000 and X1850 must be on the same subnet as your computer. StageLinQ uses TCP discovery on port 51337. If there's a managed switch in between, make sure it's not blocking traffic.

3. Important — IP addressing: When Denon gear is connected without a DHCP server (no router), the devices will auto-assign themselves a link-local IP in the 169.254.x.x range. If your computer has a static IP like 192.168.x.x on that interface, they won't be able to reach each other even though they're on the same cable. Either add a DHCP server/router to the network, or make sure your PC also gets a 169.254.x.x address on that interface (you can set Windows to "Obtain an IP address automatically" with no DHCP — it will eventually fall back to 169.254.x.x).

4. Try connecting the computer directly to the X1850's network port (or directly to an SC6000) with no switch in between, just to rule out switch issues.

If it still doesn't connect, could you capture the network traffic with Wireshark while the Denon gear is powered on? A .pcapng capture of even 30-60 seconds would help enormously — I can check whether the SC6000/X1850 is announcing itself on the network and whether STC is responding correctly.
