I've got one built now, it does boot will detect the full 896k, but it does seem unstable - it'll randomly reset during use, usually fairly soon after booting. This isn't happening with the original DRAM based expansions. I can't rule out it being something to do with the lower memory not being entirely reliable (although I've now got the memory test working and that sees no issues), but given the dram cards are OK, I assume this is something to do with the way the expansion is working? Happy to help try to debug it.
