It is compatible with mkv video already. Just rename the video file extension from .mkv to .webm Cheers!

I have another question : is it possible to select a specific audio track when playing video file containing multiple language tracks? Thanks

Hello @duangdoock. As of today, only browsers on iOS and Safari on MacOS support switching between multiple audio tracks embedded in a video file (whether those be alternate language tracks or audio description tracks). The audioTracks property is not supported in any major, current browser.

Unfortunately, the only cross-browser ways to get multiple audio tracks for a video are to either have separate video files with one audio track each that gets switched out via JavaScript, one video file with separate audio files that are played in sync via JavaScript, or to use MediaStream like VideoJS uses (which also requires serving up video and audio separately, and hosting them through HSL or DASH). The first 2 options would be an annoyance for the user, and the latter is not possible with VideoSkip's setup.

Honestly, it appalls me that a feature like this is not available cross-browser in 2025.
