Can't detect beacons

Hi,
I'm testing the module on a RPi3, I've a couple of Ruuvitag beacon that I want to connect to.
When I try the quickstart sample code it just print out "Started to scan."
I checked bluetooth service and is active, a "scan on" command can find the tags...am I missing something or there is something else I can try for debugging the issue?

Did you run the script as root?

I have same issue... I use BeaconSimulator iOS app. Ran script as root.
