Task Separator 11 - Technical Documentation

Download latest version License: MIT 💻 Built with C#

Requirements

  • Windows 11
  • .NET 6 or higher
  • Visual Studio 2022 (recommended)
  • Write permissions to the user's Documents folder

Building and Running Locally

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/theMergeMaster/TaskSeparator11Pro.git

  2. Open the solution in Visual Studio 2022.

  3. Restore NuGet packages if needed.

  4. Build the solution (Ctrl+Shift+B).
    Ensure the Splitter project generates Splitter.exe in the output directory (bin\Debug\net6.0-windows).

  5. Run TaskSplitter11.
    On launch, select the number of splitters you want and click "Create".
    Shortcuts will be created in C:\Users\<YourUser>\Documents\TaskSeparator11\Shortcuts.

  6. Drag the generated shortcuts to your taskbar to display the splitters.
