Why should this be included in the repository?

It provides full support for AirPods on Linux. It's really useful for getting the most out of your Apple earbuds.

Are we allowed to redistribute it?

What kind of user will use this package, and how many users do you think will use this package?

Any user who wants to use their AirPods natively on Solus. I think quite a few people might actually end up using it. It's a really convenient app.

Looks really nice. Definitely something I would use.

The problem with this is the Linux app is in a bit of limbo, it seems.

The current Linux version is not very actively maintained and limited. The new version looks promising but is not out yet.

We would also need to have someone step up to maintain this that has airpods to properly test it.

I built it but when I tried with regular airpods, it didn't work. I can try with my airpods pro later as it mostly supports that.

The basic Linux app is enough for me, and I think it would be for other people too. I use the AirPods 4 ANC, and they work great. If you need assistance with maintenance, I would be happy to contribute.
