Missing wiring of the different elements

I am trying to assemble the unit but was wondering if you could put a diagram showing how to wire the parts together?
It looks very cool so thank your for your project

On the esp-cam module itself only 2 pads are used internally "GND" and "5V". These are labeled on the same side of my board as the camera connector.
On the battery charger module the four pads opposite the micro usb connector are OUT+, B+, B-, and OUT-. Lastly we have 2 pins for the switch and two for the battery terminals.

Wiring:

• GND > OUT-
• 5V > Switch
• Switch > OUT+
• B+ > Battery Positive (+)
• B- > Battery Negative (-)

What voltage regulator are you using? Your picture is super helpful. https://randomnerdtutorials.com/power-esp32-esp8266-solar-panels-battery-level-monitoring/ includes the basics, but they list a different LDOs than the above picture. I did not see the device included in Glytch's list June2020, but briefly mentions a switch in his video. Other ESP32 cam projects also leave off the voltage regulator.

While your pictures super helpful, both the diagram and the picture have the cables going to the 5v side of the ESP32 cam, wouldn't the 3.3 volt side desired? the battery is 3.6V, the voltage regulator drops it to 3.3V so why cable up the 5V? Glytch has the cables going to the 5V side in his video as well.

Actually, this is more than a simple voltage regulator. It is designed to be the controller for an18650 based battery bank for 5v charging. As such it outputs 5vdc not 3.3vdc. I believe you might be able to use a simple buck converter to step down from the 3.6v to 3.3, but you won't have the battery protection or charging included in this board.

With the device you used, what protection does it have, is it beyond the DW01 chip? I would look up before asking the question, but cannot find anything close. Thank you for explaining that the device is a step up convertor from 3.3 Vto 5V.

Not the battery module, the device between the battery module and the ESP32 cam. In the first link I shared another site that had the device as a voltage regulator. You mentioned that the “switch” increased voltaged and was not a LDO. I searched for those devices and could not find a model. Attached is a picture of the device in question. That device is not included in the TP4056 purchase nor is the device in the BOM.

Ahh.. the switch is a simple slide switch. Any switch you have or source that is similar dimensions would work. The ones I used were SPDT (single pull double throw) and measured roughly 5mmx10mm
Some have tabs to let you secure them easier, some do not. You could also use SPST (single pull single throw) as only 2 of the three pins are used anyway. If you search ebay or ali-express for spdt slide switch you should see lots of options. This component does not make any changes to voltage or amperage. It simply acts as a switch.

Nope. It needs TTL logic to funtion to which is 0 to 5 VDC. CHeck the poser supply.

The input voltage goes through a 1117 linear regulator on the board which smoothes the signal and reduces it to a steady 3.3vdc anyway. This means the 4.1 or 4.2 vdc output from the battery charging circuit should be sufficient to power the esp-cam. In practice, I have not seen any issues with my boards.
