This Privacy Policy explains how Hackerman, Inc. ("Hackerman", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information in connection with Hackerman Text and related purchases.
1. Overview
Hackerman is designed to collect and handle as little personal information as possible.
When you purchase a license, Stripe, our payment processor, collects and processes the information needed to process payment, comply with legal obligations, and help prevent fraud.
Hackerman itself uses only limited customer information to generate and deliver a license key.
Hackerman Text does not include tracking or telemetry.
2. Information Collected by Stripe
When you purchase a license, Stripe may collect information such as:
* name
* email address
* business name
* phone number
* billing or business address
* payment information
* fraud-prevention and verification information
* other information needed to process payment, comply with law, or prevent fraud
This information is collected and processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.
3. Information Used by Hackerman
Hackerman uses only the limited information needed to generate and deliver a license key, including:
* name
* email address
* business name
Hackerman may also use phone number and business address in the future if reasonably needed for licensing, billing, fraud-prevention, compliance, or related operational purposes.
Some information, such as name or email address, may be embedded in or associated with the generated license key.
Hackerman does not otherwise use this information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
4. Data Storage
Hackerman does not maintain a separate customer database for this information outside of Stripe.
Hackerman also does not store issued license keys.
Hackerman generally seeks to avoid storing customer information except to the limited extent it may appear in routine business records, payment-related communications, support communications, or other operational records reasonably necessary to provide the service and run the business.
5. App Data, Tracking, and Telemetry
Hackerman Text does not include tracking or telemetry.
Hackerman does not collect usage analytics, behavioral analytics, advertising identifiers, or other in-app tracking data.
6. Third-Party Services Used by You
Hackerman Text may allow you to use third-party services, APIs, or models, including providers such as OpenAI, Mistral, or Inception.
If you choose to use third-party services with Hackerman Text, data you send to those providers may be collected, processed, stored, or retained by them under their own terms and privacy policies.
Hackerman is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services you choose to use. You are responsible for reviewing the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
7. Data Sharing
Hackerman does not sell personal information.
Hackerman does not share personal information except as reasonably necessary to operate the purchase and licensing flow, through service providers such as Stripe, or where required by law.
8. Data Retention
Because Hackerman does not maintain a separate customer database outside of Stripe and does not store issued license keys, Hackerman's direct retention of personal information is minimal.
Information collected during payment may be retained by Stripe according to Stripe's own retention policies, legal obligations, and operational requirements.
9. Security
Hackerman aims to minimize data handling and collect as little personal information as practical.
However, no method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and Hackerman cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
Hackerman Text is not directed to children, and Hackerman does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Hackerman may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted at the applicable privacy policy URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
