Map view does not update after new filters

The map view needs to update to take into account search / query filters requested by a user. See:

That link is for a search request that includes only source:Opencontext. But the map shows all Isamples content, unfiltered.

I'd like to re-up this issue. I'm still seeing problems with the map views not updating when new filters are added. It looks like the view needs to be updated after the filter gets applied. If I toggle the "Display Points" and "Display Grid" options, then the map looks good and displays the properly filtered results.
