Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'remove')

Repro Steps

1. Opened an md file
2. It defaulted to VS Code view.
3. Clicked the mark sharp icon
4. Dragged the tab out of the VS Code window and onto a second screen.
5. Selected text to delete.
6. Got the error message
