Single instance mechanism broken on Macs since version 1.6.0 #161

Since switching from version 1.5.9 to 1.6.0 or any later version the single instance mechanism does not seem to work anymore. On my Mac the app always terminates immediately without any message. First I thought this is an obscure crash but much later I realised it is the single instance mechanism. I use it like described in your documentation but I haven't configured any properties. I just use the defaults. I know this isn't actually needed on a Mac but since the same code is also for other platforms I just left it in there. As soon as I go back to version 1.5.9 or comment out the termination condition in the code, everything works normally again.
